After adopting a new rim profile and a major review of all areas, a new limited-edition model to the ZE40 lineup has been added: The ZE40 TIME ATTACK III.
7 years since the launch of the original ZE40, while making use of our advanced analysis technology, the design was updated for added strength and lightness. Instead of just shaving off weight, we reinforced the wheel structure. After thorough investigation with our analysis technology, we successfully achieved a weight reduction of 200g for the ZE40. Paying homage to the ZE40s characteristic Dark Blue Gunmetal Color, a Metallic Blue/Matte Black Clear Color has been adopted for this limited model.
Whilst retaining the original ZE40's character, you can sense the 7 years of evolution, not only in performance, but also in design. We hope you enjoy it!
Metallic Blue / Matte Black Clear Color
This Metallic Blue/Matte Black Clear color is reminiscent of the Matte Blue Gunmetal which drew so much attention during the 2014 Nurburgring test of the ZE40. The use of Matte Black Clear not only creates a stylish look overall, it also provides the center DC section a more elegant feel.
Rim Strobe Line
RAYS original patented A.M.T. (Advanced Machining Technology) strobe lines are used as an accent to give a distinctive character to RAYS wheels. This creates a unique line while the wheel is spinning, while at the same time contributing to weight reduction of the outer rim circumference.
Center DC
One of the key features of the ZE40TA III is the Center DC. This contributes significantly to weight reduction and gives the wheel an eye-catching impactful design.
Spoke cross-sectional shape
The traditional ZE40 spoke shape; this shape assists to minimize weight, while adding strength to the spokes.
